Gastronomy in Crisis? For Us, Another Record Year

  • News

In the rbb24 documentary “Kampf um jeden Gast – Gastro in der Krise” (Fight for Every Guest – Gastronomy in Crisis), our COO Leander Brune provides insights into our development: from the iconic toilet block at Schlesisches Tor to one of the currently leading QSR brands in Germany, and continuing on the path to becoming an internationally growing burger chain with a clear vision for expansion.

Rising prices, high rents, and staff shortages are putting the hospitality industry under massive pressure. While many businesses are struggling, Burgermeister looks back on a record year in 2025 with over 6 million burgers prepared and an annual revenue exceeding €100 million within the Burgermeister Group. This is a massive growth trajectory that deliberately runs counter to the general industry trend.

The reason for this lies in a clear and consistent approach: Burgermeister has always relied on consistently high quality, combined with clearly defined processes, high speed, and stringent standards in daily operations. Our own Burgermeister production facilities (producing burger buns and meat patties, among other things) enable full control over the value chain and create trust, both internally and with our guests. This model is supported by highly structured teams with high service standards, as well as a sustainable, systematic expansion designed for long-term stability rather than short-term actions.
