Burgermeister moves into the Uber Arena and starts exclusive partnership with AEG

Berlin – The popular hamburgers and cheeseburgers from Berlin’s cult brand Burgermeister are now available directly at the Uber Arena – freshly prepared with ingredients from the company’s own production. The expansion of the culinary range is part of a long-term partnership between Burgermeister and the arena operator Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG).  This also means that, for the first time, an established restaurant chain with its own brand and products is represented directly in a German AEG venue.

Robert Fügert, CEO & Chairman of Burgermeister, says:
“The partnership with AEG and the Uber Arena is much more than just a location for us – it’s a statement. Here, our values meet world-class entertainment, passion, and millions of enthusiastic people. Burgermeister stands for quality, freshness, and craftsmanship – and that’s exactly what we’re now bringing to one of Germany’s most important arenas. It’s a real milestone and the start of a new era for our brand.”

Ole Hertel, Vice President and Managing Director of the AEG Operations GmbH, is enthusiastic: “Burgermeister brings a genuine burger experience to the Uber Arena and takes our culinary range to a new level: the best burgers in town are now available at our venue as well.”

As part of the cooperation, a concession stand at the arena will be designed in the characteristic Burgermeister style and operated by Levy, the arena’s official catering partner. Burgermeister will train the Levy staff to make sure they can prepare the legendary burgers fresh on site, using only original Burgermeister ingredients.

The Burgermeister concession stand is located on the east side of the concourse on the second floor, directly behind block 206. As an extra service, the concession stand is equipped with an Uber Eats pick-up spot where the cult burger can be picked up by customers who have ordered via the Uber Eats app.

In addition, Burgermeister will be prominently visible in the arena thanks to a comprehensive communications package.

Successful system architecture

With average sales of €3.25 million per location, Burgermeister is one of the leaders in the German quick-service market – and is preparing for global expansion. “Our system works because we leave nothing to chance. We control every step – from our own bakery and meat production to fresh preparation at the store. This independence is our strength and the key to scaling Burgermeister successfully on a global level,” says Fügert.

Long-term cooperation

The partnership with the Uber Arena is the start of a long-term and groundbreaking collaboration. Burgermeister and AEG see this not only as a strong positioning in the Berlin market, but also as the beginning of a cooperation with international prospects. The focal point is the vision of establishing Burgermeister as an integral part of extraordinary live experiences – initially in Germany, but with the prospect of expanding beyond that.
