Burgermeister launches in the UK in 2026

  • News

Burgermeister goes UK! We are very pleased that foodservice is reporting extensively in its latest issue about Burgermeister’s next big steps. The article not only highlights our development since opening our first international location in Szczecin, but also our ambitions for the coming years, most notably our entry into the UK market. Today we can officially confirm: Burgermeister will launch in the United Kingdom in 2026.

London will be the first market outside Germany and, alongside Poland, the next place where we bring our concept to life. It will play a special role in our international growth strategy. “The UK is extremely important to us – one of our top three priority markets worldwide and, in the long term, the key springboard to the United States,” explains our Chairman and CEO Robert Fügert in his interview with foodservice. By opening an initial cluster of four locations in and around London during the first half of 2026, we aim to deliberately gain experience, ensure quality, and position the brand authentically before entering an accelerated expansion phase starting in the third quarter.

As in Germany, our own central production facility in Berlin remains at the heart of our quality strategy in the UK. Burger patties, buns, sauces, cookies, and many other components will continue to be produced in Berlin and delivered regularly to the United Kingdom, complemented by some local ingredients.

Our move into the UK represents far more than just another country launch during our hyper-growth phase: it is a strategic milestone on our journey toward becoming an internationally scalable brand, and the beginning of what will follow in the coming years. This is only the start of the next chapter for Burgermeister and the launch point for our future expansion into the United States.
