Burgermeister Expands: The well-known burger chain from Berlin also wants to conquer Potsdam. When the new location will open and how long the restaurant will offer its burgers every day.

Potsdam. Juicy burgers, crispy fries and a touch of cult – Burgermeister will open their first branch outside Berlin on August 29, directly in the station passage of Potsdam’s main train station. In Berlin, Burgermeister is currently represented with eleven locations. The new branch in Potsdam opposite the UCI cinema offers space for 40 guests on an area of 85 square meters. A total of 40 employees will serve customers on site.

In the Potsdam restaurant, you never have to wait too long for your food, promises managing director Robert Fügert: “It only takes seven minutes from the moment you order to the finished burger.” The management also revealed the new opening hours to the MAZ: Monday to Thursday and on Sunday, burger lovers can drop by from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the restaurant even stays open until 2 a.m.

“Our goal is to offer the best burger for everyone.”

For the opening, Burgermeister and their delivery service partners Wolt, Lieferando and Uber Eats have planned campaigns such as 2-for-1 offers to celebrate the launch in Potsdam. However, the promotions do not apply to ordering on site.

Burgermeister founder sees no competition on the Potsdam market: “There is no alternative”

The man behind the idea is the founder Cebrail Karabelli. He confidently denies that the Potsdam market, which currently seems rather saturated with many burger restaurants, could pose a challenge: “There is no alternative. We use Irish beef which we process in our own butcher’s shop. At three o’clock in the morning, the lights go on in Berlin-Tempelhof and the bakery starts baking our own buns,” explains Karabelli.

The company deliberately relies on fresh ingredients, while many competitors use frozen goods, says the owner. Despite this orientation, the price for customers remains reasonable. “Our cheapest burger costs 4.90 euros, and our goal is to offer the best burger for everyone,” says Karabelli.
