40 years of McDonald’s replaced by Burgermeister: New Burgermeister branch opens in historic location in Berlin Steglitz

Berlin, April 27, 2024 – Burgermeister, the renowned Berlin burger brand, continues its success story by opening a new location at a historic site: the former McDonald’s branch on Schloßstraße in Berlin.

The takeover of the former McDonald’s location in Steglitz is not only a step towards entrepreneurial growth but also a commitment to the diversity and transformation of Berlin. As a firmly established burger chain in Berlin’s food scene, Burgermeister is committed to enriching the city’s culinary landscape and revitalizing it time and again. With our mission “Best Burgers at Best Prices – for Everyone,” we are now bringing our popular burgers to Schloßstraße 117. With the opening of our new location, our previous Burgermeister Pop-Up Store at Bergstraße 93 is now moving to its own spacious branch. With over 10 locations in Berlin and more in planning, including the next location in Berlin Hermannplatz, Burgermeister demonstrates that genuine Berlin burger culture and entrepreneurial growth can go hand in hand.
